It comes with a new programmable ECU, and it works better than ever.
All the improvements of the V2 and the new electronic control unit are included in the V3.
As with the V2 kit, we have decided to provide it for free to all MDRX V1/V2 owners.

Update kits requests are open until December 31, 2024.

How does it work ?
Every owner of a Silverback MDRX is qualified to receive (for free) a new ECU and/or V2 Update kit, using the form below. Each request will be validated manually, there is no automatic reply. Please don't submit the form twice. If you you don't receive an acknowledgement email within 5 working days, please contact us by email at mdrx-update@silverback-airsoft.com.
If the serial number provided has already been granted a V2 kit, only the V3 ECU will be provided.
Once the parcel has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail notification, with a shipping proof number.

What is new ?
Reliability, ergonomics, performance out-of-the-box - your feedback helped our engineering team update the V1, bringing improvements for users.
The new V3 ECU enhances the V2 kit to perfectly balance the tappetplate-less performances of the MDRX.
Electronic Control Unit V3
Developed in collaboration T238, the new ECU features many programmable settings, as shooting mode (burst/binary), DMR cooldown, ROF setting, pre-cocking, sleep mode, active braking and battery protection. It also features a mechanical blocking and mosfet temperature safety protection.
Reduced stress
The bevel gear design will reduce strain on battery, motor and electronic control, and will considerably reduce the noise of the gear box.
Better motor positioning
The new motor setting screw is easier to adjust and lock in position.
Improved balance of the feeding system
A new nozzle disconnection oring, new nozzle & delayer springs and new delayer screw will improve feeding and durability.
It will also provide better feeding with third party’s magazines.
Easy buttplate removal and battery installation
Full opening of the rifle is no longer required to access battery bay and spring quick change.

ECU V3 :
- New programmable ECU (the yellow one), developed in collaboration with T238.
V2 kit :
- New bevel gear design - will reduce strain on battery, motor and electronic control, and will considerably reduce the noise of the gear box.
- New nozzle disconnection oring – solving inconstancies issues on the original production, this new one will improve feeding and durability.
- New nozzle / delayer springs - With a better balance, improving feeding with third party’s magazines.
- New delayer screw - Avoiding potential interactions with the spring guide.
- New motor setting screw – easier to adjust and lock.
- New buttpad - Offering a direct access to battery bay by pushing the back pin and removing the buttpad only.
- Tool key for the cylinder head/bb tube/nozzle and motor setting screw.
- Silicone/PTFE grease for pneumatic assembly and lithium grease for gear set/piston.
